Burning permit Coming to South Frontenac?

In August the Fire Chief proposed a permitting system for open air burning South Frontenac Township. This is his presentation to Council:

    I don’t burn much. Most of the time it is in a fire pit right beside the lake. Sometimes I take a fire extinguisher just in case. I don’t like it. I wouldn’t get a permit unless I was doing something really big. I think it will be impossible to police and it would usually take a neighbour to complain about it creating bad neighbours. It isn.t necessary.
